Hound show successes

There is a great report in the Horse and Hound (14 July edition) from Blaston show in Leicestershire, where the Meynell hounds had a highly successful day:
Unentered Doghound - 1st Sabre
Stallion hound - 2nd Samuel '15
Unentered Bitchhound - 2nd Dressage
Entered Couple - 1st Hoover '15 and Saffron '15
Broodbitch - 1st Saffron '15
Champion Bitchhound - Saffron '15

Jamie’s report: “Had a really successful day , there were very strong classes and the Grove and Rufford did have some lovely hounds but Saffron clinched the Bitch Championship, there were a lot of packs showing there this time 17 packs in the modern alone and as far away as N.Yorkshire and Northumberland.”

From the Horse and Hound report: "Saffron 15 ... stole the day at Blaston.  She floated across the ring to take the bitch championship." and "She has bred a litter of puppies this year, but has lost none of her quality or athleticism and was the star of the show."

This week Jamie took some hounds to The Great Yorkshire on Wednesday and he reports: "Hounds showed really well, we won the restricted bitch class with Dressage and we were 2nd in the entered bitch couple class with Saffron and Hoover , well worth the trip and very strong classes too. A lot there and really pleasing to win a class at one of the top four shows in the country. They never let me down".

This is fabulous news - well done to hounds and Jamie.
